Discontinuous Learning Research

Phase 1

Outreach and online dialogues

Excerpts from the book Discontinuous Learning: Aligning Self, Work and Family were shared on LinkedIn as a one-post-a-day campaign from the middle of Q4 FY24 till the middle of Q1 FY25.

The link to request a free copy of the book was shared with each post. 475 people requested for and received a free copy of the book.

On 21st April 2024, we conducted an event, Live conversation with Prasad Kaipa, on the ideas in the Discontinuous Learning book. 15 people attended the event. The discussions were lively and all 15 of them volunteered to participate in evolving the ideas of Discontinuous Learning further.

Phase 2

Conference participation

The idea of Discontinuous Learning was presented as a poster in the National Conference on Indian Knowledge Systems in Management at IIT Bombay’s Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management on July 5, 2024.

The poster presented the concept of Discontinuous Learning, highlighting its potential to solve complex global challenges such as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and IIT Bombay’s aspirations related to Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).

Reaching out to the youth

We have also created an Instagram handle to propagate the ideas of Discontinuous Learning amongst youth.
