Our Gita Project : action research on practical applications of Bhagavad Gita

Our Gita Project

Our Gita Project (OGP) involved a series of 20 interactive sessions, an introductory session, one session for each of the 18 chapters of Srimad Bhagavad Gita and a concluding session.

Each session is a discussion of how the chapter impacted attendees, in one or more of six areas:

  1. Communication and Relationships
  2. Career development and growth in the workplace
  3. Youth and Mental Health
  4. Education,
  5. Leadership
  6. Self-development

It was conducted as a Karma Yajna & not Jnana Yajna. In other words, the discussions were NOT on what Shri Krishna told Arjuna, but on what each participant learnt from Lord Krishna!

  • On an average, about 18 people attend the weekly sessions every Sunday.
  • On demand, we have started a mid-week Q&A session every Wednesday.

Projects conceived by participants:

Midway into the OGP programme, we invited participants to work on their own projects based on OGP. The following projects have been conceived by the participants:

  1. Communication Principles and Best Practices from Gita
  2. Gita & Youth Mental Health
  3. “Inner Harmony: Exploring Bhagwad Gita’s Teachings for Adolescent Well Being” – A 30 hour course!
  4. Mini videos of Our Gita Project recordings
  5. Indic Wisdom based Modern Day Management Principles
  6. Arjuna’s Questions are Our Questions: Awakening the Wisdom of the Gita
  7. Exploring Lord Krishna – the counselor
